I love the simple emotions captured in these photos of the first time my mom was holding Sunday. I kept the colors and embellishments muted so the love could really take center stage!

In the ongoing attempt to organize, I sorted through my collection of patterned papers. I am proud to say I cut my stash in half- and then in half again! Well it seemed like that anyway. I did get at least half of twelve years worth of collected paper out of my bin! Its not actually going to leave the house (I will gift it to my two year old) but that's beside the point of the activity.
Next I took all of my recently purchased alphabet stickers and filed them away by color into an 8x8 plastic storage box. If I needed to, I simply cut the sticker sheet down to fit. Now when I'm looking for the perfect title making letters, they'll be easy to locate.
Do you struggle with getting rid of your old beloved supplies that you haven't used since purchasing twelve years ago like me? I challenge you to gather some craft and donate it! Leave me a comment about your struggle and I'll commiserate!

This morning I emailed a friend to please pray for me, because I didn't think I'd have time to go in the craft room today and I had a powerful urge to get scrappy!
Its so helpful to work from a specific paper line for mass producing layouts. Having a-massed a huge assortment of SEI papers, I was able to use up my stash and whip out these FOUR pages in about an hour and a half!
Ah, the Power of Prayer!
Thus morning I emailed a friend to please pray for me, because I didn't think I'd have time to do much scrap booking today, and I had a poweeful urge ti get scrappy!
Its amazing how helpful it is to use a specific line of paper when mass producing layouts. I've amassed a large assortment of SEI paper and was able to whip out these FOUR pages in about an hour and a half!

I'm experimenting with longer titles lately. This can be tricky! Being confident about what I'm calling attention to takes practice. Do you start your page with a title and story/journalling in mind, or is that the last part of the process for you? I find I usually fall into the "save it for the end " category!
My other goal for this year of scrapping is to use up that old product (so I can get more). On this page I dug into my metals and pulled out these fun greeting tags that I layered over some heart stickers, which I layered over a strip of washi tape. Its a triple attack on my supplies! I have so many patterned washi and paper tapes now, that I forget to use them is simply unforgivable :-)
Another "sin" I'm guilty of is leaving my pictures undeveloped and stuck in the wasteland that is computer storage. I plan on making a big dent in that hard drive by taking advantage of the incredible StudioJ online scrap booking program through Close To My Heart. Only $5 for a two page layout made in mere moments... gotta love that!
